Meet Your Trainer

Hey, My name is Ossie. I’m a certified Personal Trainer, Group trainer and Health coach. That, along with countless short courses that land in the same silo of interest. I also study fitness programming, periodization and resistance training protocols in my own time.

My fitness journey is 10+ years old now. In that time I have delved into bodybuilding, powerlifting, endurance training, and now finally landing on a different approach altogether, ‘supplemental training’ or, training in the gym to improve the performance of my chosen sports. This approach differs from the norm because the gym is considered as your 2nd or even 3rd priority. This new way of training allows me to see fitness programming in a macro view of sorts. One where the gym is not at the top of the list, it is there to supplement other sports or even your life without a chosen sport. I can write programs tailored specifically to your needs and busy schedule, one where you don’t need to drop everything for the gym.

Our Mission

In the past couple years we have learnt just how amazing becoming the healthiest, fittest, happiest version of yourself is. Maddie will be pedalling up a hill and just yell “I love fitness” instead of when “when will this hill end”.  It is amazing what physical and mental changes can happen when you are feeling your absolute best.

Did you know that it is actually possible to have a good time without destroying your body? And conversely, be fit and healthy without it being your only identity. We’ve found our formula on the physical health front, and we believe we can help you find yours.

Our Story

We met in 2022 when Ossie moved to Nelson BC. During our first winter together, Maddie was injured and couldn’t ski. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, Ossie created a personalized training program to help her recover, and we bonded through our time at the gym and exploring the Kootenays.

As our relationship grew, so did our passion for health and fitness. We supported each other in becoming the happiest and healthiest versions of ourselves in multiple avenues. The following year, we decided to take our commitment to the next level—Maddie pursued a personal training course, while Ossie completed a health coaching certification. We combined our strengths, skills, and knowledge, and ReRooted was born.

Between working on this business, we love to mountain bike, and ski, and of course we still have multiple gym dates a week.
